IMagine!

Chatted with my cell mate today, and also librarian on desk. it took us a while to get the group chat thing going but we did it. the appearance is different than programs i've used before but function is similar. it might be fun to learn some of the shortcuts to help us keep near up to speed with the younguns.

Use a Header Next Time

looking at others' blogs i see they are more appealing with headers that describe what the post is about rather than just having a date up there....boring

Blog thought part II

I've been playing around, trying to add a video clip from You Tube, but can't figure it out. Got the pictures down though. now i must forge ahead with next week's assignment, instant messaging. Tried this years ago when my husband was out of the country and found the experience frustrating because of the lag time and overlapping comments. Also used this in distance courses at UW. My kids got me used to using emoticons, which I'm now hooked on...where's smiley face in here???

Pssst! by Adam Rex
Imaginative and liberating--young girl visits the zoo where several animals separately request items from her. the last animal gives her a bag full of change from the fountain to buy the things they've asked for. the accumulation of stuff she buys for them adds up to a ride out of the zoo. great concept that can open doors for conversation about what it must be like to be kept locked up.

First Step

the first step is the hardest...jump. here I am in blogger-ville. Way back in 1997 I created a website using straight HTML and I must say things have gotten soooo much easier; now all the back end work is done for us. This just might be fun after all.
